OAKPORT TOWNSHIP, Minn. - Clay County Sheriff Bill Bergquist warned Saturday that only individuals who had good reasons to travel to Oakport Township would be allowed into the area north of Moorhead, as high water was causing problems for roadways.
He said it was still possible for residents and emergency workers to get to where they needed to go, but he said others, such as sightseers, will not be allowed in the area as long as high water remains a problem.
