The Concordia College Student Association will host a panel discussion on organ donation at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Birkeland Alumni Lounge on the Moorhead campus.
Among the panelists will be Don Hovden of Fargo, whose Feb. 24 heart transplant and subsequent recovery were documented by local media outlets.
Other panelists will be Carson Kitch, a 3-year-old liver transplant recipient; Monica Kersting, whose daughter died while waiting for an organ transplant; Deb Andvik, a hospital liaison for Life Source; Scott Ellingson, director of admission at Concordia and the recipient of a pancreas transplant; and Erin Collins, a Concordia student whose 5-year-old sister was an organ donor.
The event is free and open to the public.
April is National Organ Donation Month.
