FERGUS FALLS, Minn. - The Minnesota State Patrol has identified a Middle River man who died after the pickup he was driving collided head-on with a semi Sunday about three miles north of Fergus Falls.
Richard L. Smith, 24, was driving the pickup when it crossed the center line of Highway 59 about 1:27 p.m. and struck the semi head-on, the patrol said.
The driver of the semi, David Bjorgo, 53, of Pelican Rapids, was not injured.
