BUFFALO, N.D. - A 52-year-old Pierz, Minn., construction worker who died while driving a truck in reverse on a stretch of county road being resurfaced Thursday was Clyde T. Kisor, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said in a news release this morning.
The accident happened about five miles north of Buffalo on Thursday afternoon after the truck Kisor was driving rolled into a county ditch and he was partially ejected through a window, the patrol said.
Kisor died of his injuries at the scene, the patrol said. A passenger, Allan Hammer, 47, of Ashby, Minn., was airlifted to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo for treatment.
According to the release, the driver was traveling northbound in reverse on County Road 5 when he lost control of his 2000 Chevrolet truck.
The vehicle entered the west ditch, where it rolled, the release said.

The patrol said the driver and passenger weren't wearing seat belts.
The roadway was under construction and was being resurfaced with blacktop at the time of the incident. The driver was part of the crew working on the roadway, the patrol said. The company doing the work is Mark Sand and Gravel Co. from Fergus Falls, Minn.
