MANDAREE, N.D. - One person is in custody after a body was found in Mandaree on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in western North Dakota over the weekend, a federal official said Tuesday.
Federal Bureau of Investigation spokesman Kyle Loven said law enforcement believes the death occurred sometime last week. The death, however, was reported over the weekend, he said.
The FBI is working with the Bureau of Indian Affairs to investigate the suspicious death.
Loven said a federal complaint would be forthcoming, possibly before Christmas.
