FESSENDEN, N.D. – Two men are injured after a pickup truck was cut in half by a semi hauling a mobile home in a crash near here Sunday morning.
North Dakota Highway Patrol Sgt. Joe Knowski said Erik Blume, 35, of Baxter, Minn., was heading east on Highway 52 when icy conditions caused him to lose control of his 1999 Ford pickup and head into the westbound lane.
That’s where the pickup hit a semi traveling in the opposite direction hauling a mobile home, said Knowski.
The pickup was cut in half and came to rest in the south ditch.
The semi, driven by Garry Byers, 70, of Spruce Home, Sask., also was disabled, and landed in the north ditch.
