FARGO-Supporters of Planned Parenthood will rally at noon Friday, March 24, outside the field office here of Rep. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., to protest his support of legislation that would block federal funding for Planned Parenthood medical services.
Health care legislation backed by House Republicans would exclude millions of low-income women from receiving care at Planned Parenthood clinics, including breast exams, cancer screenings and birth control.
Planned Parenthood operates a clinic in south Moorhead that does not provide abortion services, but serves 500 Fargo patients, the organization said. Planned Parenthood said one in five women have received health care from the organization.
The protest is planned outside Cramer's district office at 3217 Fiechtner Drive, Suite D, Fargo.
