Police arrested two men Wednesday morning after they led a Barnesville, Minn., police officer in a car chase that ended when the driver drove into a Moorhead home.
Formal charges against Keir Ryan Welch, 20, of Fargo, and Andrew Arthur Johnson, 23, address not known, are expected today in Clay County District Court.
A Moorhead Police Department release says:
The department received a reckless driver call about 8:50 a.m. Wednesday. The Barnesville officer noticed the car temporally "hung up" on the side of the road in the 400 block of 21 Street South.
The driver, Welch, drove away from the scene east on Fourth Avenue. The police officer then chased the vehicle in his squad car through the Morningside Addition.

Welch then struck a tree prior to driving backward into a home at 601 Birch Lane. He ran away from the crash and stole a bicycle from a nearby garage.
Police arrested him trying to leave the area. He received treatment at Innovis Health in Fargo.
Johnson refused medical treatment and is held in the Clay County Jail.
Possible charges include fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, burglary and leaving the scene of an accident.
