The West Fargo Police Department is asking the public's help in finding a man believed to have crashed a vehicle Monday while fleeing an officer.

The man, who was last seen wearing a white tank top, is described as black and 20 to 21 years old. A source told police the man is known as "Little P" or "Little Peter."

Police began chasing the man after he refused to pull over for a traffic stop on Main Avenue near 45th Street. After a short pursuit, the driver lost control of his vehicle and hit two parked vehicles in the 4300 block of Ninth Street Southwest, police said.

The man fled on foot, and a police dog tracked the suspect to an apartment building on Ninth Avenue Circle Southwest.

Anyone who could help the investigation is asked to call the West Fargo Police Department at (701) 282-4154.
