Moorhead police have identified the man arrested this morning for failing to stop after an officer observed him speeding.

Stephen Guajardo, 29, was arrested at 2:47 a.m. but would not properly identify himself, police news releases said.

He is in custody at the Clay County Jail while police request a complaint to charge him with fleeing in a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and other suspected offenses, a news release said.

Police believe Guajardo lives in the area but do not have a local address for him.

He was driving a Pontiac Bonneville but was not the registered owner.
