Fargo police have released the name of a 41-year-old man who plunged to his death Sunday afternoon from the 19th floor of the Fargo High Rise.

Frederick Peter-Erich Muyres, a High Rise resident, was found dead at the scene after police and emergency medical service personnel responded about 4 p.m., Assistant Police Chief Keith Ternes said.

Police said the death is an apparent suicide.

The body of the High Rise resident was found at the northwest corner of the building, 101 2nd St.

Homer Childs, a High Rise resident, said he was outside when he heard a yell and, seconds later, a crashing noise.

Ternes said late Sunday afternoon that police talked with several witnesses and examined the man's room.

Police said their investigation is finished, and no foul play is suspected. The case will remain open until the results of an autopsy are received, police said.
