Fargo police are investigating two assaults reported Friday night that may be connected.

Witnesses told police that a man was hit by a vehicle in the parking lot of 1414 35th St. S. about 10:20 p.m., Sgt. Jeff Skuza said.

Soon after that incident, a vehicle was forced off the road on Interstate 94 west of 42nd Street South.

The driver of that vehicle was pulled from it and assaulted, which police believe was in retaliation for the previous incident, Skuza said.

Several officers responded to the incidents, with the last officer clearing the scene about midnight, Skuza said.

Police did not release the names of the individuals injured, but said both were taken to local hospitals.

No arrests were made and the incidents are under investigation.

Witnesses say the incidents appear to be a dispute between members of a family, Skuza said.
