Police looking for man who robbed Happy Joe's in north Fargo

FARGO – Police here are investigating an armed robbery Thursday morning at a northside pizza parlor.

Fargo police Lt. Joel Vettel said a thin, white man between the ages of 20 and 30 came into the Happy Joe’s at 3132 Broadway about 11:15 a.m. and demanded money.

He indicated he had a weapon but didn’t show one, Vettel said.

The man took the money and fled on foot toward the north.

A police dog tried to track the man, but didn’t find him, Vettel said.

Early reports describe the robber as wearing baggy blue jeans, a dark blue sweatshirt and a blue bandanna with white stars over his face.

That description could change as police review surveillance video from the scene, Vettel said.

The robbery was the 14th this year in Fargo, and the ninth since mid-October, Vettel said. .

All but four, including Thursday’s, have been solved, Vettel said.
