WESTBURY, Minn. - A 26-year-old Ponsford woman died early Tuesday in a one-vehicle accident west of here, said the Becker County Sheriff's Department.
Carol Peake was headed south on 230th Avenue about
1 a.m. when the car left the road and overturned in the west ditch, said the sheriff's department.
A passenger in the back seat was able to exit the car and go for help. Emergency responders extricated Carol Peake and passenger Florence Peake from the vehicle, authorities said.
Florence Peake was taken to St. Mary's Regional Health Center in Detroit Lakes. She is in stable condition. The other passenger did not require medical treatment, said the sheriff's department.
