GRAND FORKS – Grammy-nominated singer Ed Sheeran traded in his “Lego House” for a clubhouse and a Roadhouse on Thursday when he unexpectedly spent his afternoon in Grand Forks.
The pop star, known for such hits as “Thinking Out Loud,” “The A Team” and “Sing,” made an impromptu stop in town between concerts he had in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Wednesday and Winnipeg on Friday.
Sheeran’s trip around Grand Forks began with a round of golf at the King’s Walk Golf Course with his team.
Jill Nelson, a spokeswoman for the Grand Forks Park District, said Sheeran played a round of golf, purchased a few items from the shop and then went outside on the clubhouse patio to eat and relax.
Along the way, he stopped to take a few photos with some of the young golfers who were lucky enough to be on hand at the time.

“They came in and said they had a great time, and that they enjoyed the golf course immensely, which is pretty cool for us,” said Jay Kennedy, the manager of King’s Walk.
Nelson said the staff at Eagle’s Crest tried to keep Sheeran’s appearance under wraps to be respectful of his privacy.
Following his round of golf, Sheeran was spotted at Texas Roadhouse ordering a steak.
Sheeran, 24, is currently on tour in support of his second album, “x.”
