Aaron Locke,a third-year student at North Dakota State University, had other plans for his spring break.

Aaron Locke,a third-year student at North Dakota State University, had other plans for his spring break. But as a staff sergeant for the North Dakota Air National Guard's 219 Security Force in Minot, he was called up to serve in what is now his hometown. Today, he works traffic control on 25th Street South to help the construction crews build a levee along Rose Creek in preparation of the flood. Though he hoped to be back in class this week, Locke understands he may be needed to help keep watch over the city until the threat of floodwaters subsides.
