Democratic-NPL Senate candidate Tracy Potter will launch a 53-county campaign tour across North Dakota, beginning May 1.
When Potter announced his bid for Byron Dorgan's U.S. Senate seat, he vowed to bring his campaign to all of the counties.
Potter, a Bismarck state senator, said he plans to talk about the history of the county before giving a campaign speech at each stop.
"This is something that is just lacking in politics today," Potter said. "Candidates buy TV and radio ads and think they're communicating with the voters. I want them to actually see me, hear me and ask me questions."
The campaign tour begins May 1 at the Kidder County Courthouse in Steele.
