The Minnesota Legislative Commission to End Poverty by 2020 listening tour will be in Moorhead on Oct. 24-25.

Area Representatives Morrie Lanning, Bud Nornes and Mary Ellen Otremba are on the commission.

The commission will sit in on a board meeting of the Lakes & Prairies Community Action Partnership at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24.

A tour of the Dorothy Day House of Hospitality, Village Green, and Greenwood Trailer Court is planned for Oct. 25.

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., a listening session is planned at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead. Commissioners will listen to people in poverty speak briefly on areas of concern such as transportation, fuel costs, health-care issues and housing.
