The Presentation Prayer Center in Fargo will host a workshop for single parents from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 7.
The nondenominational event is designed to give men and women parenting without partners useful parenting skills while recognizing the importance of taking care of themselves.
The workshop includes a morning presentation by Angela Berge, parenting resource coordinator, titled "Positive Parenting." Berge will discuss parenting styles, discipline and parental tools. In the afternoon, Sister Andrea Arendt, director of the Prayer Center, will lead "Pray All Ways," a session to encourage participants to cultivate their spiritual lives.
Child care will be provided for early registrants.
The workshop also includes lunch and a hands-on art project for the kids. There is no cost.
