Prescription program bus due in Fargo

A national program to help people without prescription drug coverage is scheduled to appear Tuesday in Fargo as part of a nationwide educational bus tour.

A national program to help people without prescription drug coverage is scheduled to appear Tuesday in Fargo as part of a nationwide educational bus tour.

The Partnership for Prescription Assistance began its five-month, two-bus "Help is Here Express" tour in January.

A bus will be at Fargo's Family HealthCare Center from 10 a.m. to noon.

The buses are equipped with computers and phones to help people determine if they are eligible for financial aid in paying for prescription drugs.

The Partnership for Prescription Assistance is a national organization of pharmaceutical companies, doctors and community groups.

It has helped enroll more than two million people in programs nationwide, including nearly 5,000 in North Dakota.
