Overnight closures of Interstate 29 will be postponed until Monday through Wednesday nights due to the rain.

The closures are necessary while crews set beams on the west span of the 19th Avenue North overpass bridge. The North Dakota Department of Transportation is doing work at night to minimize impact on traffic.

I-29 is scheduled to close each night at 10 and reopen at 6 a.m. the next day.

The wet conditions also postponed the signal work on the east ramps of the 12th Avenue North interchange of I-29 that was scheduled to take place Wednesday morning.

Weather permitting, the work will begin at 9 a.m. today.

Signals will flash while replacement work is being done, and flaggers will guide traffic through the work area. Work is expected to be done by noon.
