WEST FARGO - The Red River Regional Dispatch Center's Board of Authority created an 11-member negotiation team this morning to handle the purchase of a computer-aided dispatch and records management system.
The board met in executive session for an hour to discuss negotiating strategies for obtaining the CAD/RMS.
The board then reconvened in open session to appoint people to the negotiating team. The group includes representatives from the three metro police departments, the two county sheriff's departments, a fire official, a dispatch official and information technology personnel.
Also this morning, the board decided to interview three final candidates on Oct. 30 for the director's position at the dispatch center. The board will interview each candidate for an hour.
