The Red River at Fargo has dropped below flood stage after cresting Monday at 19.5 feet, according to the National Weather Service in Grand Forks, N.D.
Flood stage is 18 feet in Fargo. The river dropped below flood stage about 1 p.m. Tuesday and was at about 17 feet as of 9 a.m. Wednesday.
The Buffalo River near Dilworth rose above flood stage of 12 feet overnight and is forecast to crest at 12.5 feet Thursday morning.
