Roadside check finds few hunting violations

JAMESTOWN, N.D. - Officers with the state Game and Fish Department say a roadside check on the opening weekend of pheasant season found no major hunting violations.

JAMESTOWN, N.D. - Officers with the state Game and Fish Department say a roadside check on the opening weekend of pheasant season found no major hunting violations.

The check was conducted Sunday south of Jamestown.

"We checked approximately 49 vehicles," warden supervisor Dick Knapp said. "Compliance was very good. We had very few violations and those we did find were very minor."
