Fargo police are calling it an old-fashioned rumble that landed one man in the hospital.

Sgt. Jeff Skuza says an estimated fifteen people in their late teens and twenties met in Fargo's Oak Grove Park last night to settle a dispute. Some people were armed with baseball bats and broomsticks.

A homeowner living near the park saw the fight and called the police.

When the officers arrived they found a 21 year-old Fargo man who'd been beaten unconscious. Skuza said the man is hospitalized at MeritCare and his name and condition has not been released.

Sgt. Skuza also said that several arrest were likely for aggravated assault and there is nothing to indicate that those involved have any gang affiliations
