Foot-care is big business in Fargo-Moorhead, especially when the summer sun shines.
Barb Hugelen says foot-care products have been flying off shelves at Bath & Body Works in the past couple of months.
Bath & Body's tootsie-pampering-products include a foot file for $8, foot lotions for around $14, and a large bottle of sea salt scrub for $20.
"As soon as spring hit, boom, we're selling them like crazy," Hugelen says. "People don't pay any attention to their feet until they put on sandals."
Cyndi Broekemeier says Salon Excel is giving roughly 15 pedicures a week.

People are becoming more aware and concerned about the aesthetics of their bodies at a younger age, she says.
"They're really booming now," she says.
The average cost of a pedicure at salons in Fargo ranges from $30 to $40.
Broekemeier recommends getting a pedicure every month in the summer, and every six weeks in the winter.
