Sanford Medical Center in Fargo has received the Joint Commission's Certificate of Distinction for Primary Stroke Centers.
Sanford earned the recognition after a site visit by the Joint Commission in July, which included a survey of staff, facilities, patient care, procedures, policies, charts, electronic records and more.
Sanford is one of two certified centers in North Dakota and the only one in Fargo.
