Northern Improvement Co., with headquarters in Fargo, has promoted Dave Schmitz to vice president.
Schmitz was previously employed as an estimator/project manager for the company's rural water division in Bismarck.
He began his employment as a laborer with the water division in 1980, was promoted to foreman in 1995, superintendent in 1998, and assistant vice president in 2006.
