A bird banding open house will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m.. Sept. 6 at the Minnesota State University Moorhead Regional Science Center. Visitors can see volunteers and staff netting, analyzing, banding and releasing song birds as part of a national study on the health of song bird populations.
It's free and open to the public.
The science center is 15 miles east of Moorhead off U.S. Highway 10 adjacent to Buffalo River State Park. Volunteers and staff will meet at the interpretive center.
