DULUTH, Minn. - A large search effort in Duluth's Lincoln Park neighborhood on Thursday evening failed to locate a 74-year-old woman who has been missing for more than three weeks.

Dale Gerard was last seen getting off a bus at Piedmont Avenue and Seventh Street on July 20. Thursday's search was a continuation of multiple searches of the neighborhood, and focused on an area where Gerard used to live with her family.

Lincoln Park Citizen Patrol members and volunteers met with Duluth and St. Louis County law enforcement personnel near Enger Tower before conducting a search of the area from 13th Avenue West to 24th Avenue West between Piedmont and Skyline Parkway.

Duluth police said search crews cleared the scene at 9 p.m. without finding Gerard.

The county's search and rescue squad took part in Thursday's search, along with K9 units. About two dozen people were involved in the search.
