Moorhead and Clay County tied a previous record for seat-belt use at 86 percent, officials announced Monday.
An observational survey of seat-belt use was completed July 30 at nine locations in Moorhead and Clay County.
The percentage ties the all-time record set during the survey conducted at the beginning of July, according to a news release.
The repeat record-setting number is "an affirmation of the responsibility that Clay County citizens are taking in driving safely on streets and highways in the county," Moorhead Police Lt. Dan Griffin said in the release.
