To recognize Head Start's 45th anniversary, the Southeastern North Dakota Community Action Agency staff will host an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Evergreen Conference Center, 302 27th St. N., Fargo.
A program will begin at 5 and refreshments will be served. Past staff, families and friends of Head Start are invited to attend and share their experiences.
SENDCAA Head Start will join more than 9,000 Head Start centers across the United States in marking this year of celebration.
Head Start, a federally funded program administered by the Department of Health and Human Services, was started in 1964 as part of President Lyndon Johnson's War on Poverty.
