Icy roads caused a number of accidents in the region early Saturday morning.

Moorhead Police Department responded to 12 reports of accidents between midnight Friday and mid-afternoon Saturday, said Lt. Tory Jacobson. None involved serious injuries, he said.

Fargo Police responded to at least nine accidents, according to a daily briefing. That included one rollover on 12th Avenue North.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol said it had no accidents attributed to icy roads early Saturday.

People driving in the Fargo-Moorhead region for holiday shopping, combined with rusty winter driving habits, contribute to the minor accidents, Jacobson said.
