Sex offender meeting scheduled in Moorhead

Moorhead police will hold a community notification meeting at 6 p.m.

Moorhead police will hold a community notification meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in the Centrum Auditorium of the Knutson Student Center at Concordia College to provide information about William Robert Upshaw, 37, a Level 3 predatory offender who has moved to Moorhead.

Fargo police released information about Upshaw in early June.

At that time, Upshaw had notified authorities he was living in the 1200 block of Monte Carlo Drive N., Fargo.

According to information from Fargo police, Upshaw was convicted in 2000 in Cass County of gross sexual imposition for an incident involving an acquaintance younger than 15.

At Monday's meeting, Moorhead residents can ask questions of police and Minnesota prison officials.

Free parking is available in the lot directly west of the Knutson Student Center, 624 9th Ave. S.

Upshaw is living in a south Moorhead neighborhood, but the exact address has not been released.
