MOORHEAD-Four people were taken to Essentia Health in Fargo after a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 94 here.

A 2001 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Alexandra Rasmussen, 20, of Moorhead, and a 2005 Mercury Sable driven by Dawn Durant, 31, of Waubun, Minn., collided on the freeway after Durant made an abrupt lane change into Rasmussen's lane and sideswiped Rasmussen's vehicle, according to a release from the Minnesota State Patrol.

The two cars went into the ditch and all of the passengers in Durant's car were also taken to Essentia with injuries that were not life-threatening: Sharon Durant, 62, address unknown; Vernon Durant, 32, White Earth, Minn., and Barbara Durst, 31, of White Earth. Rasmussen was not injured, the patrol said.

Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, the patrol said.
