GRAND FORKS, N.D. - Light snow is forecast to fall across the region today and Tuesday, with a two-day total of 3 to 4 inches expected across portions of the southern Red River Valley and west-central Minnesota, the National Weather Service says.
Fargo-Moorhead had picked up about a half inch of light snow this morning. Snowfall is expected to spread north and east through the day as a low-pressure system moves across the region.
Accumulations of 1 to 2 inches are possible through tonight and again on Tuesday, according to the weather service office in Grand Forks.
The next greatest threat for accumulating snowfall will be Friday and Friday night, but "there is much uncertainty with this storm system," the weather service said on its web site.
