MCVILLE, N.D. -- A Fargo man died from injuries he suffered in a snowmobile accident near here early Sunday morning.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol identified him as Paul Jacobson, 47, 3861 River Drive S.

The accident happened three miles west of McVille about 12:15 a.m.

The patrol said Jacobson was eastbound in a ditch along North Dakota Highway 15 when he lost control of the snowmobile after hitting a rise in the ditch and struck a telephone pole.

Jacobson was wearing a helmet, the patrol said.
