Persistence or deep pockets are the only ways to get tickets to the AC/DC concert at the Fargodome.
Seats for the Saturday-night show Jan. 17 went on sale Oct. 11, and more than 19,000 tickets sold that day, says Rob Sobolik, general manager of the Fargodome.
"We were pretty much out of tickets in an hour and 25 minutes," Sobolik said.
But it wasn't sold out entirely. The setup for the concert is expected to allow for a maximum crowd of 21,000. As the details of show production have emerged, Sobolik said, small batches of tickets - 100 at the most and usually much less - have been released for sale through Ticketmaster.
Sobolik said random groups of tickets, most of which are for the cheaper $69.50 seats, will continue to be released the next two weeks. About 20,500 tickets have already been sold, he said.

The other option is resale tickets, which typically carry a higher price than face value. For instance, Ticketmaster's scalping site - Tickets Now - listed on Friday 335 seats for the show from $117 to $696.
The Fargo date on the tour by the 35-year-old Australian rock group - whose 2008 record sales, on the strength of new CD "Black Ice," were second only to Taylor Swift - isn't alone in packing in fans. Sobolik said many of the stops on the tour have been selling out "in a matter of minutes."
