Fargo Park District Commissioner Ron Sorvaag has filed for re-election with the city auditor's office.

Sorvaag, 3402 Birdie St. N., is seeking his third four-year term on the board.

He first served on the Park Board from 1996 to 2000. He won election again in 2006.

Sorvaag said he would like to continue to address flood protection at the city's parks and golf courses, several of which along the Red River are vulnerable to flooding. He said he'd also like to continue expansion of the park system.

Three Park District seats will be filled in the June 8 primary election.
