Tamara Spry, an investigator with the Fargo Housing and Redevelopment Authority, is the recipient of the Healing the Hurt Award from the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center.
The award was given to her Thursday during a surprise presentation.
Spry deals with housing cases where there is a domestic violence concern. She has worked with all service providers to make sure domestic violence victims receive appropriate treatment.
The Rape and Abuse Crisis Center's mission is to provide crisis intervention, advocacy and counseling services free of charge to anyone who has been a victim of domestic violence or sexual abuse. The center also provides education and prevention programs to end personal violence in society.
