PONSFORD, Minn. - A 22-year-old man is accused of stabbing a 28-year-old man twice during a domestic dispute early today near the Becker County city of Ponsford.
The Becker County Sheriff's Office and White Earth Police Department responded to the incident at 1:51 a.m.
The victim sustained serious knife wounds to the abdomen and chest areas and was taken to St. Mary's Innovis Health in Detroit Lakes, where he underwent surgery, according to a news release from Sheriff Tim Gordon.
The victim's condition was unknown, and his name was not released.
The suspect, George Robert Taylor, left the scene before authorities arrived and was apprehended without incident at a relative's house shortly after 9 a.m., the release stated.

Taylor is being held at the Becker County Jail while charges are pending.
Ponsford is about 25 miles northeast of Detroit Lakes.
