BISMARCK - Attorney General Wayne Stenehjem has ordered a Canadian company and its affiliates to stop doing business in North Dakota.
Stenehjem said the Montreal-based company does business as MegaPowerSaver.com, Power Saver and Global Power Solutions, offering a supposed energy-saving device.
Telemarketers have been telling people that their electricity will be shut off if they do not buy the device, and also have sought personal checking account information, Stenehjem said.
