The F-M Chess Tournament for students in kindergarten through 12th grade will be held Jan. 7 at Horace Mann Elementary School in Fargo.
Entry fee is $5; students are asked to preregister by e-mailing Paul Heuer at pdh_56@yahoo.com , giving him names, addresses, school and grade. Registration will also be held at the school from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. Jan. 7.
The tournament will begin at 10 a.m.; participants will play five games. Medallions and ribbons will be awarded.
Lunch will be available at the school, and the tournament is expected to last until about 3 p.m.
