FINLEY, N.D. -- A Minnesota man suspected of stealing a motor home escaped from authorities by running through a North Dakota cornfield, then riding a lawn tractor and is now believed to be driving a stolen car.
Authorities are looking for Dylan Klade driving a red 2006 Pontiac G6 four-door with the North Dakota license plate JKB 184.
Klade, 21, of Thief River Falls, Minn., is described as being 5 feet 11 inches tall, 150 pounds, with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a white tank top and blue jeans and no shoes, authorities said.
The car was reported stolen Wednesday morning from a farmstead near Portland, N.D.
Traill County officers say the stolen car was last seen near Clifford, N.D., about 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The search for Klade started about 11 a.m. Tuesday near Finley and Portland in eastern North Dakota.
Steele County Sheriff Wayne Beckman said deputies checked on a motor home parked on N.D. Highway 200 and discovered it was stolen from Thief River Falls.
Deputies spotted two men walking nearby, Beckman said Tuesday night. "They took off running, ended up in a cornfield and then the chase was on."
Corey Roper, 22, a high-risk sex offender from Thief River Falls, was captured, but Klade got away.
Beckman said the owner of the stolen car found a riding lawn mower parked on his property. Authorities believe it was taken from an unoccupied farmstead.
Beckman said the unoccupied farmstead was the last property authorities checked Tuesday night before suspending their search.
Klade was sentenced Aug. 12 in Polk County to 90 days for misdemeanor marijuana convictions, to be served on work release. He has a string of previous charges going back to 2009 in northwest Minnesota involving mostly drug and driving violations, according to state court records online.
According to the Minnesota Department of Corrections predatory offender registry, Roper, 22, was released from prison Sept. 6. He was convicted of engaging in sexual conduct with a female victim under the age of 14.
