MOORETON, N.D. - A Fargo man died when the sugar beet truck he was driving collided with a semitrailer in Richland County, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.
The beet truck was eastbound on State Highway 13 about 1½ miles west of I-29 near Mooreton just before 8:30 this morning when it collided in a T-bone fashion with a westbound truck that had jackknifed on the highway, patrol Capt. Jim Prochniak said.
The Fargo man's name was being withheld pending notification of relatives. The other driver wasn't injured, Prochniak said.
The Department of Transportation responded to the scene to clean up the spilled sugar beets and debris from the collision, he said.
