Moorhead community workshop scheduled
A community workshop on the future of Moorhead will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 in the Hjemkomst Center, 202 1st Ave. N., Moorhead.
Topics such as parks, neighborhoods, the environment, transportation, land use, redevelopment and growth will be discussed.
During the workshop, attendees will have a chance to review work already completed, ask questions and share opinions on how Moorhead will look and feel in the future.

Wine production meeting to be held
Presque Isle Wine Cellars of Fargo and North Dakota State University Extension Service will sponsor a winery, grape production and fruit harvest meeting from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday in the Carrington NDSU Research Extension Center.
Local growers and wineries, including Bear Creek Winery of Fargo and Maple River Winery in Casselton, will give reports. Experts will speak about site selection and preparation, the economics of fruit and wine and weed and disease control.

Moorhead post office adds services
The Moorhead post office now offers passport application, processing and photo service.
Passport customer service hours are 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Several other post offices, including those in Bismarck, Dickinson, Williston, Fargo, Wahpeton, Grand Forks, N.D., Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Fergus Falls, Minn., also offer passport services.

Big Bopper league registration begins
Registration has opened for Moorhead's Big Bopper summer baseball program.
Children who are 5 years old by July 31 can participate in the program, which begins June 7.
Practices will be held Mondays and games on Wednesdays.
Program fees are $25 for resident children and $27 for non-resident children.
Participants must register by March 19 at the Moorhead Parks and Recreation office, 324 24th St. S. or online at www.active.com/browse/

Barnesville VFW pancake feed set
Barnesville VFW Post 4628 will hold a pancake and sausage feed from 8 a.m. to
1 p.m. Feb. 15.
The event will be at the VFW post, 206 Front St. S. The cost is $4 and proceeds will benefit community projects.
