Seat-belt use in Moorhead and Clay County is at 79 percent, according to an observational seat-belt use survey at 10 locations.
Five of the 10 locations had results at or above 80 percent, according to a news release said.
The highest reading was 83 percent, north of Sabin, Minn., on Highway 52. The lowest reading was at 75 percent, recorded at 20th Street South and 24th Avenue South in Moorhead, the release said.
The average usage rate has been at 80 percent or higher in the past five of seven months, the release said.
