The Fargo-Moorhead Symphony Orchestra has received a number of grants recently.
A grant for $10,000 from the Alex Stern Family Foundation will support the F-M Symphony's youth education concerts.
A grant for $5,000 from the Fargo-Moorhead Area Foundation was awarded to support the October Pizza Pop concert and the upcoming December Holiday Pop concerts.
A grant for $2,500 from the Engebretson Family Fund, a component fund of the F-M Area Foundation, supported the October outreach concert in Detroit Lakes that featured music by John Williams.
A grant for $10,000 from the National Endowments for the Arts in the category "Access to Artistic Excellence," was awarded to nonprofit organizations that foster excellence in the arts and provide access to the arts for underserved communities.

The F-M Symphony Orchestra has increased its focus on youth music education, particularly outreach to rural communities, over the past decade. The NEA awarded 635 projects out of 1,110 eligible applications for this grant.
