A 16-year-old arrested Wednesday night has confessed to a number of car
vandalism cases, Moorhead police say.
The youth was arrested after police, who had already received 15 reports in
recent months of someone walking on car hoods and smashing windshields,
discovered two more cases last night.

Lt. Tory Jacobson said the boy was quickly connected to the most recent
cases by the shoes he was wearing.
Under questioning, the youth admitted to other incidents, including several
cases in Minneapolis.
The boy told police he "loved destruction and destroying stuff," Jacobson
said.
The teen is being held in Clay County's juvenile detention center pending
filing of charges, said Jacobson, who did not have a dollar amount for the

damage involved.
