A 16-year-old arrested Wednesday night has confessed to a number of car

vandalism cases, Moorhead police say.

The youth was arrested after police, who had already received 15 reports in

recent months of someone walking on car hoods and smashing windshields,

discovered two more cases last night.

Lt. Tory Jacobson said the boy was quickly connected to the most recent

cases by the shoes he was wearing.

Under questioning, the youth admitted to other incidents, including several

cases in Minneapolis.

The boy told police he "loved destruction and destroying stuff," Jacobson

said.

The teen is being held in Clay County's juvenile detention center pending

filing of charges, said Jacobson, who did not have a dollar amount for the

damage involved.
