Two juveniles were arrested early Sunday and a third suspect is being sought in the beating of two men with an aluminum baseball bat, Fargo police said.
Officers were called at 3:48 a.m. to the area of 4396 45th Ave. S. for an assault in progress.
They found 23-year-old Fredrick Schauer of Fargo with serious head and facial injuries. He was taken to Innovis Hospital, police said.
Paramedics treated the second victim, 22-year-old Thomas Lopez of Fargo, for arm and chest injuries.
Police believe an argument led to the assault, but it isn't clear what the disagreement was about, Lt. Tod Dahle said.

Police arrested two juvenile males, 15 and 17. The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault and consuming alcohol as a minor. The 15-year-old was arrested on suspicion of being an accomplice to the assault and consuming alcohol as a minor.
Police are still looking for a third suspect, 18-year-old Terrance Lee Beston of Fargo. A warrant for his arrest on suspicion of aggravated assault has been issued.
